Introduction about ISB for Good – SIG

'ISB for Good' Special Interest Group has been created to bring together alumni social entrepreneurs/alumni working in the social impact sector.

The ISB for Good Special Interest Group will serve as a forum for:

  • Brainstorming, ideation, and creation of opportunities for collaboration
  • Raising Funding (Connecting Impact Investors to Social Entrepreneurs and Non-profits to Corporates and Foundations)
  • Hiring within the social sector community
  • Exploring networking opportunities with like-minded individuals from the ISB community (as well as with the Ecosystem)
  • Sharing useful resources and planning joint activities among group members

Who is it For?

Founded or working with any of the following:

  • Social Enterprise or Non-profit/NGO/Foundation or Social Impact Fund/Incubator or Social Impact consulting/advisory
  • Working for corporates or teams that actively engage with Social Sector (eg. CSR teams, Environment/Sustainability teams etc.)
  • Board Member of any of the above
  • Institutional donors and organisations
  • Government ministries working on social issues
  • Others (alumni interested to actively participate)

Events and initiatives: Networking meet-ups in key cities, Impact speaker series (webinars), Brainstorming sessions on specific topics with organisations and thought leaders, Social Impact Day

Social Treks/ Visits
Field visits organized to encourage the ISB community to be aware of social issues and causes, especially those alumni are associated with
Alumni - Student Knowledge Transfer Sessions
Alumni help the students at both campuses connect with experts and practitioners from the social enterprise space, for speaking engagements at various events and to organize advisory sessions and support for career development in the social sector
Online speaker sessions and seminars
Capacity Building for Non-Profits and Social Enterprises
Sessions that aid in the development of knowledge; and management and other relevant skills for organizations working in this space; e.g. proposal wirting, use of technology, social media marketing, and business/operational planning
